I really like the tension between the cart and the man pulling it. There's a feeling of both effort and movement. The signs which reoccur throughout the picture give it a sort of graphic, documentary air. I don't know why this is, but signs always seem fixed in time and rooted to a particular place. For some reason, the telephone pole bothers me a bit. It seems to call to much attention to itself. But as a long-time street photographer I understand you deal with what's there as best you can.

Thanks Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoy this photograph after converting it to B&W. I like the signs as well, but didn't notice the writing on the cart that says Carnaval, until after posting it. The woman in the background bothers me more than the pole. The pole seems to be leaning in the same direction as the man, which helps with the flow of it all for me.  Thanks again for your thoughtful comments.
