Please view large. It is both ecumenical and ironic that the

Patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob sit on the banks of the

Virgin River. They are a majestic if not craggy threesome. Our visit

to Zion for only one night was a time filler on this trip. For those

seeking green, t would be better to visit later in April or May after

the trees have leafed out and before the throngs of crowds

descend upon the park. Like many travel images, this is an

attempt at a decent mid-day shot. Your comments are

appreciated. Thanks. Larry

Impressive Larry for a midday shot. I can relate to you because I recently goty back from a cruise and getting shots early in the morning and late after is definitely a challenge.  Ultimately it is the photographer who knows what to do to produce a lovely image but I am noticing a difference with this D7000. Did you get a new lens also?

Tony,  Thanks for the visit.  Interesting about the camera - I used my same lenses.  I did get the 35mm (DG version) 1.8 lens, which is a normal 50 or 52mm full frame, but did not use it on my trip.  Larry

Patsy,  Thanks for your visit.  I appreciate your comment.  I'm generally not a fan of mid-day blue skies, but in this case it does enhance the image.  March is not a great time of year to visit Zion as the trees have not leafed out yet.  Thanks again.  Larry
