Niagara Falls is so difficult to capture because of all the manmade junk.  I think your choice of early morning is likely the best.  I realize it's warmer in your hotel room (Embassy Suites?), but I think you may have captured something really special if you were down in the mist!

The shot was from the Marriott and I had tried the previous day but the angle of looking up from the shade area gave me nothing as dramatic. The amount of spray (water flowing over the falls seem to change on a daily basis) and I think you need to be a resident photographer who can go back again and again to capture the magic of these falls. I saw some excellent local photographers work which really stood out. i tried a few alternatives shots, hinting at the falls rather than going for the full shot of the falls, but it is a difficult place to take a good shot of let alone an original shot. Many thanks for taking the time to comment William.
