View large, please. As expected, sunset and sunrise cast

significantly different moods and at the same site. In my six images

of the Zabriskie Point badlands this is most evident. Why call

natures beauty at its best, caused by erosion, badlands? We know

that this land presented formidable obstacles to those attempting to

cross California in the nineteenth century. Yet, the fact remains that

nature is perceived differently by visitors, hikers, and

photographers and environmental enthusiasts and those wishing

to exploit or "develop" (another loaded word) the land. I am most

interested and grateful for your critiques and comments. As always,

thanks. Larry
