I like this one a lot. The way you have composed the picture has the feeling of a moment of clear revelation or of a distant goal now finally in sight after a long journey The placement of the line of trees just slightly above the center line and pressed between a leaden sky and the wide expanse of white dominating the foreground seems almost painterly in the way it bisects the "canvas" but is nonetheless very effective in conveying a feeling of isolation and distance.. The ghostly impression of a road leads the searching eye inward until it comes upon the sudden flash of color: the welcome sight of a solitary house, a haven from the evening chill. This is really an excellent photo and I'll include it in my favorites.

Thank you for the kind and so eloquent analysis of this early morning take in which you detected details I had not even noticed.I woke up to this Winter in April and thought I should take a shot for the record. While at it,I took care to make only one straight track in the fresh coat over the driveway(kept the dog inside);to amplify the isolation flavor,I tried without much success to clone out that power pole and cables,so I left it.Glad you like it enough for your Favorites...I am honoured!

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent
