Very arresting image! The birds themselves are lovely, but the reflection is what's so superb about this shot for me. Did you have to doctor it up a bit? I'm surprised to see no ripples in the water, especially given that at least one of the birds appears to be walking, but maybe the mud dampened any ripple effects. Very nice composition!

very effective shot again. It seems the extender gives just a bit of softness to the final image compared to the pure 500mm. Noticed it on the hummingbirds's too, not that it hurts anything. G

Thank you folks! Appreciate your stop by and left your thought, 15 hours + later after my last comment and I now am on my Easter vacation - Greetings from Tokyo! :-) .... I miss the birds already!

The shot is very much as is Adam, no monkey stuff!

Yes, Greg & Verena, with the 2X TC III (even as good as it is) ... it's not the same as the bare 500mm. However, it's one of those situation where it's either with the 2X or no good presentable shot! :-)

Ajay, the yellow is the reflection of the flower on the hillside on the background which got cut-off at the top but the reflection still shows. It's a beautiful scene when view in full with all that Spring flower .. :-)

Elegant birds - beautiful mirror. In fact the quality is surprisingly good, considering that you used a 2x extender. Well done. Best regards Per.

Thanks Hanan!

Thanks Per! I had very good light last Saturday, a bit cloudy early morning that helps tame the white some.

Thanks Pat!

Thanks Monte!
