I would have liked to pop this into PSE6 and sort the colour balance and clarity, but you have opted to use *Gif so I was unable to.... nevertheless, you have been a PN member for quite a while now so I'm surprised that you post an image without camera/lens details and Exif data. This makes a genuine critique almost impossible.......... so I will give you my views based on face-value, as presented.

I have never enjoyed half-images, nor framed ones but I could have over-looked those, had the  Ibis (?) held my attention. Unfortunately it did not.

In the Ibis, I see no strong definition, in fact the slightly larger view does show a trend towards being "fuzzy", or OoF.

As photographers, our most harsh critic must be ourselves, and to be quite honest, had I taken this picture..... it would have gone in the bin.... there again, I am my own worst critic..................

Best regards

Thanks, friends Renny and Grayham, for your views and words ...

Grayham,

Thanks for your honest and strightforward (if a tad bit sharp) critique on this picture, very much appreciated and taken in the meaning in which I believe it was delivered. True that there was no exif data attached, but I usually provide the details with most of my pictures. Please have a look at my collection and please leave a comment (positive and negative both appreciated).

I disagree on the point of framing though, because I like them framed ... To each our won, eh :-) ... Most of the pictures in my collection are unmanipulated in the PN sence, since I dont know and use PS more than in the most basic sense ...

Thnks again,

Rejith ...

Not to be-labour the point about framing, and I appreciate it is a personal thing......... but one presents an image here for critique, pretty much the way an artist presents his painting for sale.......... most of these are un-framed as each prespective buyer will have a different frame in mind.......

My critique was meant to be constructive and so I hope it did not come across as critisism....... these were just my observations........... maybe I'm better at doing visual corrections than writing the written word (smiles).

Regards

Thanks for your kind words ... I have not taken your comment as a negative thing and you are absolutely correct about the image being there for critique ... I am really glad that you dropped by and even happier that you have pointed out the things that can be done to improve one of my images ... I whole heartedly appreciate your taking time for the same, and please do scroll through my collection and leave a word or two on any of the images, any well meaning comments are heartily appreciated in my book, as they will help me improve my technique ... Thanks again ...
