You are a doll…A casual portrait in the open air of the 105 year old Persa and Jenny. Jenny is from Vietnam, she speaks fluent Greek after 3 years that she has been in Cyprus and she looks after Mrs Persa. It’s moving to see with how much affection and respect she treats the old lady…

Thank you for dropping in my friend, is also interesting to note that Mrs Persa lives with her family, they could have put her into a home, but they didn't....

An excellent shot. Technically the focus and bokeh are marvelous. The expression of both the ladies are nicely captured. The diverse geographical origin of the two ladies tells some story here.

Thank you all for your response to this human story, Apouvra above, mentioned the meeting of cultures..that is also lovely to see. People can live together, love and respect each other..that is not a cliche, it is a reality that politicians especially largely ignore.

Dimitris, in your first comment you said it all!  The bond between the two women , as interpreted by the body language and eye contact , is far beyond the margins of a mere professionalism. Mrs Persa's happy face reflects her gratefulness for the way she's treated and complimented. Not oddly, jenny is not a tad wrong in her word-petting : she's really a doll! Compliments for your reflexes to capture a tender moment like this ! Last but not least , I think that Jenny's hand gesture speaks volumes of the moment's  tension

Thank very much, for your appreciation my friend!!! May I also add a smile to that...?

Thank you for your wonderful comment in which you mentioned Jenny's hands..I showed this picture to a well known painter friend of mine and he immediately commented on their expressiveness, sensitivity and strength. You are not familiar of course, with the particular location that the picture was taken..may I also add some trivia about it; On the top of the picture there is an out of focus mountain range called 'Πενταδακτυλος' and right on top of the head of the old lady you can see the five prongs of the mountain...

Two ladies from entirely different cultural backgrounds, different religious beliefs, different ages...they formed an incredible bond..

I cannot help reiterating what I already said....

I greet you well, my friend!.
