A beautiful light show that you were able to experience and capture, Martin. The image is good as it is, as an alternative I could suggest to crop the river out and keep a low horizon, the hill has an interesting shape (similar to the Uluru) and is a sufficient counterpart for this magnificient sky. The two traces are meteors ? Best regards. Peter

The aurora is a phenomenon which makes for wonderful photographs, but technically difficult to get right. This has been done beautifully. I might perhaps have cropped away a small bit at the bottom of the frame, but it is excellent.
