On New Years Day the grandchildren awoke, and it was not long

until they were eager to go out and play in the snow. My son Jesse,

girlfriend Jen, and daughter Eden live in an old farmhouse on a piece

of property one would consider to be located in the country.

However, the town they live in has experienced much residential

growth over the last 20 years. We have a short drive through a

Subdivision before reaching their property, but once there, fields and

woods abound. The picturesque setting and 'laid back' mood are

always welcome by us city dwellers. Shaelyn and Kael decided to

bury their cousin (our Grandaughter) Eden in the snow. She was

delighted and could barely stop laughing the entire time. Though we

are tired of the snow now, it is nice to have these memories to look

back on. If it is Winter, the children rarely complain about the

SNOW!! Visits/comments truly appreciated ;-) Gail (Dig Alt)

Hi Gail,

You have done a superb job capturing and presenting this scene.

Along with your story, this image does reassure long lasting memory with inevitable changes to the story over time.

Best Regards my dear friend,

Mike

A great shot that makes you laugh along!

Maybe if you post it again in August, it will be a more welcome reminder of winter.

Always do enjoy the grandchildren. We have not seen Eden since Christmas and I imagine she has grown quite a bit since then!! Every time I see her she gets closer to my eye level. (that is not hard to do as I'm barely over 5' !!) They grow much to fast!!!

Many thanks for your visit and sincere comments, best always,Gail

You are so right. While there are times of 'trouble' and worry as they grow up (and you never really stop worrying), I think of all the fun and laughter I would never have had if I'd not had children. Not to mention the Grandchildren. Those of us who have been blessed should never take the experience for granted.  Thankyou so much for sharing that with me Dimitris.

Warmest regards, Gail

I find the image very interesting with the brilliant smile and skin tone surrounded by the snow. Nothing like the wonder of a child or childhood and couple that with the little story it's quite wonderful. TFS!

I hope she does like it Patsy, I am sure she will. Eden loves Jesse very much, and is so delighted when he comes home from work. She shines like a little star, just like all the grandchildren. Thankyou Patsy for those kind words.
