I photographed these black-necked stilts at a local ponds in Irvine, CA.

Every spring these beautiful birds pair up to mate and raise new families.

This is the little dance that they put on right after the "action". Hope you

enjoy this image as much as I did taking it. Thank you for your comments

You always manage to get great shot SNN, love the white and the glance of the red eye of the closer bird. The eye of the other bird seems to say how she feels about being together also  :-) - TFS!

Beautiful image with perfectly exposed whites.  Great pose and expression.  Only flaw in a otherwise perfect image is lack of detail on the wing.
