You did well with the Canon 18-55 zoom on this nice looking close up.

Using the 55mm set to F/5.6 was a very good choice.

Often, honey bees just concentrate on what they are doing and present no threat to photographers that take care not to disturb them.

Thanks Mike. These bees were more concerned with the pollen than me. I have found they are usually less aggressive than the smaller honey bees and especially the wasps. I was quite thrilled that day to see the results I did get with the 18-55mm.

It's good to hear you enjoyed this capture Pat. It was taken a few years back where we lived before Peterborough. They had a Community Swimming Pool and outside gardens. It was really quite beautiful there on this particular day!!! many thanks for your encouraging remarks, ;-) GAil
