Michael,  I sense that this was not a posed image but just a picture you obtained by photographing the real actions of the day - what some call "snapshots," or "grab shots."

Yet I feel that the netting pattern is quite distracting.  Were it possible, I would have considered asking the couple to move 10 feet closer to you, with you standing back a similar distance, and then using depth of field to throw the netting pattern out of sharp focus.

Thanks for the feedback.  Sad to say, another take on this photograph is impossible.  First, as you noted, this is a candid shot.  I would not feel comfortable asking the subjects to move, even if this were possible.  But it's not; the cruise ended on 03/17.
