The name is "Snowball" or "Snow white" isn't it? Very cute dog! I think you did really good job with white and black - great details, Gail! Happy Spring to you and your family! All the best, Tamara

There is no denying what an impact our Pets have on our lives. For

me and so many others, dogs have been very close friends. I cannot

explain in 'few' words just how Abbey has enriched my life. I treasure

each day with this lovely animal and count myself fortunate to have

her presence in my life. (any visits and comments are always

appreciated, many thanks, Gail)

That would be a perfect name for her, but we decided on the name 'Abbey'. And the poor dog when we get playing with her gets called 'Abbey-Dabbey'. She is a 'hoot'. Her sense of humour is uncanny. We had another Bichon before her, and loved her equally, but I have found out that they each have their own personalities. Abbey 'watches' TV. (somehow). We are trying to teach her not to BARK at every dog she sees on it, and she 'talks' to us' in her own 'special way'. Thankyou Tamara for your visit!!! Have a great weekend!!! Gail

Beautiful portrait of this adorable dog!  The white is SO white, yet you've maintained the details.  I can only say one thing......don't let her out in the snow or you may never find her again.  ;-)

Gail........Wonderful lighting and detail in this image. Although I haven't had a dog for the last 3 years, I can never  remember not having one in my life. They really do enrich our lives and I hope there's one in my future soon. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Bob.

Hi Gail,

Love this!!  Beautiful dog and beautiful picture!  Reminds me of our three Maltese...which are very similar. And, one of our girls is named "Addy".  This picture makes me want to jump in and cuddle!

Thanks for sharing your special companion!

I do understand the relationship between pets and humans. While I do love animals, I am not 'usually' keen on on photographs of animals. This one is different. I love the black and white element here.

I have to say I am not a lover of the corners and a tighter crop would have made this an outstanding picture.

thankyou David for your input. I actually tried doing a tighter crop, but did not really like cutting off her ear on the left. I also debated whether to use a frame, you have a good point. I do appreciate your feedback very much David, many thanks for taking the time to stop by

Warmest regards,Gail

I'll give her one from you, she is such a love. Last Shauna and the Grandchildren came for a sleepover. That also includes the 'Budgie'. Well, she is just in 7th heaven when they come. So much attention!! And she really loves the bird, expects her to come out and play. Once they were gone, she was so 'down'. When Shauna calls on the phone I have to put it on Speaker so Shauna can talk to her, and Abbey actually 'talks back' in her own way, she licks the face of the phone (display area). If I take the phone off speaker she gets  upset and barks. What a 'kook'!! But I wouldn't have her any other way!!! Thanks so much for those kind remarks, Gail

This is gorgeous!  My sister's female yorkie watches tv too and when Bill Clinton comes on, she goes bonkers.  Apparently she's not a democrat!

Delightful portrait! I like the sharp definition of the nose and eye that contrasts so well with with the fluffy softness of Abbeys coat.

"Gracie" doesn't really watch TV, but she is very partial to a bit of Opera when she will attempt to join in : - )

Best Regards

Now I'd like to hear that - Gracie joining in on the 'Opera'!!! Our other dog could not see the TV at all. Perhaps with the new LED screens it makes a difference. Many thanks Alf for your visit!

Isn't it funny how dogs can get annoyed by a 'person' or image on the TV. Abbey just hates the Geico Geco!!! She trys so hard to protect us from that thing!!!

In my teen years and she lived after I had my children, our family dog was a part Maltese and Poodle (Buffy) and she was such a good dog. It broke my parents' hearts when they lost her. Many Maltese and Maltese mixes look similar to Bichons. You have to keep her well brushed, except we don't brush her to the extreme they do at the dog Shows. Many thanks Sheila for your visit!

Actually, she has to wear a coat when she goes out, it is so cold, and if her coat gets too wet, it mats. Once matted shampooing the dirt and grit off the roads is very hard and not good for her skin. She actually looks quite cute in her coat, it is Royal Blue, Red and White. When my husband gets her close to home, he lets her walk on top of the snow banks at our house and she has a ball teasing and bating him. And believe it or not, the snow is whiter than she is!!!
