jerrymat 5 Posted March 19, 2013 Marvin, Maybe it is just me but the fact that you have the ocean as background, yet floated your background up off of a white with black shadow mat is very disconcerting and disorienting. I keep feeling that the ocean is going to spill down on the matt board. You are using a 7D here and yet do not seem to have a very sharp image. That seems strange. I get much sharper results with my 7D. Is it possible that you took the original on jpeg format? When I looked at the graphical representation of your image I can see lines of missing information which suggests you had to correct it enough to destroy data. I cannot recommend enough taking the original on camera raw format.Jerry Link to comment
Marvin 4 Posted March 20, 2013 It's a severe crop of a very small bird flying very fast from a high deck ion a moving cruuise ship. I posted it, not for its quality but rather to document to myself that I saw this bird. Link to comment
lintrathen 15 Posted March 21, 2013 Thanks for answering Jerry's questions........ I appreciate your need to document the birds you see (on your travels) but I might question the need for actual critique........... I often find that on some of your images I am unable to comment without unintentionally sounding rude........ so I don't.At least I understand a little better now......... thank you.Best regards Link to comment
