This a wondeful show as well as a very!  skilled actress. The story is about  a woman with an" obsessive/compulsive" disorder to cleanliness  and dust....;-)) ...

Touching a nerve of many women's problem...;-))

Created, designed and performed by: Gabrielle Neuhaus !

Performed at the visual theater.

Intriguing series and nicely captured, Pnina. I like the various stage settings and scenes shown. It feels like an action-packed performance somehow, and I appreciate the subtle movement blur visible in the above picture, while the face & red hat are so perfectly in focus.

Wishing you a happy spring and a good Passover, Pnina.

best to you, Marjolein

Back to the dance and some great pictures. You're blessed to be able to work with such an inventive dance company; this dance seems as much comic reflection on the absurdity of human existence as pure form (well, maybe comic form). I love the farcical air of this shot. As for me, I've been waiting until I reorganize my mish-mash of photos before I returned but since I don't seem to be making any headway (mainly because I don't feel like going through the drudgery of sorting and selecting , moving and deleting. What I wouldn't give for a good editor!) I'm going to start posting some new shots pretty quick. All the best, Jack

Thanks a lot for expressing so nicely your  impressions of this series ,and glad to see you here and active again ( Jack!).So you will be the first here to know the good news... as this photo will be exhibited in the Venice Bianale at the end of May.

Jack, it is not exactly dance, it is a visual theater.

Marjolein, a good opportunity to meet!...;-))

Congratulations, Pnina -- Wonderful! I doubt that I will be able to attend though, as Venice is still quite far away from France, but maybe you will be exhibiting in Paris someday, and I would be very happy to attend then... :-)

In a word - outstanding!  This photograph captures the subject's frenetic nature so well through the movement in her arms and legs, and also by means of her facial expression.  The color contrasts of black-red are dramatic as well.

My congratulations for this image's being selected for such a high honor.  Given the work I've seen over the last few years, I have no doubt that the invitation you've received is clearly and obviously deserved.

My best,

michael

It's interesting the way her legs are highlighted and her face is nearly hidden, yet the expression on her face is so strong that it pierces through even though in darkness. The bright and very saturated red almost screams as her mouth seems to be doing, especially against the more muted green of the coat. You nicely suggest the movement of the moment. It looks like there's some sort of staircase in the background, enough to be barely visible but not having much impact on the architecture of the stage as it stays so deep in shadow. I appreciate how she's elevated, presumably strung to the rafters. Would be curious if you got any shots where you played with perspective to highlight this.
