This image was taken in August 2012 at my favorite location to take

flower images in Lindsay, Ontario. Hot, Humid, and Windy in the

Greenhouse, yet no matter the conditions I always try to obtain some

captures. Even on the hottest day, I realize that summer never lasts

long enough. A fact I ponder even more when we are longing for

Spring. (visits and comments are always appreciated, many thanks,

Gail )

Gail,

Lovely soft pastels in this one. Exposure & detail bang on. Blending the border accentuated the image without being distracting.  Thanks for this one.

I enjoy the technique and presentation.   Longer summers....let me think about that ;-)

Hi Gail,

Very nice results my dear friend.

The F/3.5 suggests that you were at a 1:4 macro setting with your Canon 100mm F2.8 macro lens.

This would place you about 24 inches from your subject.

Warmest Regards, Mike

thankyou for your visit and of course the image info!!! I am still trying to figure out how you got the 'distance' from the subject but I think I am 'onto it'. ;-) Gail

Beautiful image Gail! I don't do macro since I don't really have a macro lens and generally what I see a lot is focus stacking where people take a lot of shots at multiple varied distance and stack the images together. This one looks great without all of that stuff . TFS!

I did not realize that a lot of people do that! I've only done a bit of focus stacking, but that is usually with digital alterations creations. I'm glad you enjoyed this one Tim.
