proud as a peacock

yeah, I know it's a pheasant. it took a while for this critter to get in

position where the sun was shining directly on it AND no cluttered up

background.

First of all, I really like that the background is dull and boring and the bird is bright-colored and lively. I imagine that it wasn't easy to take, given that little critters move about and don't stand still. Only thing I might've changed is including the tail. And maybe taking out the grassy bits sticking up in the front. Other than that, looks awesome.
