That's a good question! Well, on the "surface" level, the colors are exquisitely unnatural, so that begs the questions of "why" and "where is he" and "what happened to his shirt that caused it to look like that?" Something tells me that none of those were the point of this photo, but you should know that such questions are the initial reaction.

On a deeper level, the subject's expression (remarkably obvious even from this angle...great job with that!), his posture and stance and the fact that he is in an contemplative state make us wonder what brought him to this point. What is he really looking at out there in the green haze? Is he looking for and/or finding comfort? Solace? Inspiration?

It is a very unusual image because the color is otherworldly but ever other aspect is clear and real. Probably with each viewing, new questions would come up. That's a good quality in a photo! Congratulations.
