I truly have never seen so many Bikes before! What is this place? I've thought of a huge Bike Garage but I cannot imagine how people who get off work at the same time could manage to leave without mass confusion! Or is it a Warehouse for Bikes?? no matter what it is, a great image!

Ruud, now this is green travel. Is this outside Amsterdam station? I have planned a weekend visit in June to Amsterdam and look forward to  tasting/living Dutch culture  once again. I like the crop on this shot. Well seen and executed, best wishes William.

A strong documentary, very well composed and presented. The B&W works well here. I guess it is next to Den Haag central station? At least I remember something like this or similar, or was it another station in another Dutch town?

many thanks for your visits, comments and compliments!

This is a large parking-garage for bicycles only and is next to the railways-station of Groningen.

Groningen is an university-town in the north of the Netherlands.

This is from last Sunday-afternoon, it was very quiet there...

With best regards,

Ruud.

This is fantastic.  Here in the US, there is constant bickering over the price of gas.  I wish more cities and towns here were set up for safe bike riding.  There are people here who will roll down the window of their car and yell to scare you if you ride a bike by the small side of the road.  It can be dangerous.

Very good b&w, and brings up lots of memory. I used to live in South Sweden at Trollhättan, and have seen at the market square in one corner a bicycle parking, with lots of bike. Always wandered, how people can pick they own bike out of the hundred?

Cheers.
