A little fairy sat quietly on the rock while I set up this shot - I said hello but she never answered, perhaps she only spoke French.

I am sure she heard you Mike ;-) and understood just the same, French or not. When it comes to talking to Fairies, they can be fickle, just to keep your imagination 'in their corner'. (but that is just my take. I like to think they are always round about - nice ones at least!)

Beautifully presented image Mike of a very lovely spot. We have those same wild flowers growing here in Ontario. Their happy faces brighten the hillsides in the country, as well as the bluffs along Lake Ontario. I find the name of this place very interesting, as well as beautiful. I'm going to look it up online. I am wondering if the name has something to do with the shape on top of the high cliff in the background? Very nice work Mike.

Hi Gail

Perhaps I could not hear her little pipping voice for the burble and trickling of the the stream that runs around this little outcrop.

The church that sits atop the rock was once a convent and overlooks the medieval village of Castellane in the south of France.  I have another image in the gallery that shows the church in focus.

All the best

Than you David.

I was attempting to replicate a subtle hand coloured effect with muted washed out colours.

All the best

I love this image for its originality and delicate subject. Up today gone tommorow, but eternal because mike O'day saved it for eternety. Warm regards my friend. (placed in my favorites)
