I really like that wide open aspect that really only these scenes of the Prairies convey in such a strong sense.   The presence of the romantic couple are a great addition to the scene, and I also like the cloud definition and the curve of the hill.  I think maybe a slight pan to the right would have put a bit more space in front of the horses than behind, allowing an impression of them looking into the scene.

Very well done Ross!

well,it appears as if traffic out there in the invisiible roads of ,"The Network', have become untangled & returned to normal.Lordy, are you ever correct. Can visualize the image as you suggested & it would be far superior, another lost opportunity . It pleases me you still like the image. Posted an image which I believe captures the vast empty spaces of the prairies & you can understand the loneliness of many early homesteaders . Think you will like it & is in folder MAR 13.Best Wishes & Happy Hunting with you new 800.Ross

Hello Ross

A nice scene. I like that the horses are aware of you and looking in your direction. I like the line of the hill and the way it slopes off to the right. The fence line and line of the hill against the sky leads the viewers eye to the subject. I have a couple of thoughts. I find the horses to be a bit dark. The upper left sky has no clouds like the rest of the scene and I might suggest cropping down a bit which I think makes it more intimate and more panoramic too. I did and edit with tones and suggested crop for your consideration, just my 2 cents.

Regards

Greg

Thanks for visiting & leaving your comments, much appreciated. That is a good idea, cropping the bare sky & creating a panaromic effect Have already made a change to the image, cropping out a lot of the ,"empty" hill behind the horses. If your interested it is in folder MAR 13 Thanks again or your comments. Best Regards-Ross
