Magical lighting, colour and definition............ beautiful image.

In my ignorance, I question the need for iso4000.........??

Thank you for your comment and you are absolutely wright in questioning the high ISO. No photographer would have used it, unless he had to and I had to...-:). We were at at the opening of an art exhibition called  ....'Kama Sutra' and these two dancers performed a dance and we were asked not to use flash photography. I should have said that when I asked for a critique. I took this photo during their dance at a moment that they were still as the speed I achieved on the camera, even with the high ISO was fairly low. Here is another photo from the same exhibition again with an ISO 4000. The press by the way attended the exhibition prior to the public.

A beautifully captured candid portrait!  I'm very impressed with the lack of noise at that high ISO.  Did you use noise reduction software?  Regardless, excellent work...  Mike

Thanks for dropping in. The photo was developed from RAW and I used the luminance reduction facility at a 100% magnification, the dancers at that moment were under a spotlight and that helped a lot. Also the clarity filter was some what reduced. I have other pictures from that evening that the noise is obvious where the lighting was not so bright. If I open the shadows, in this particular picture too, you will be able to see it.

Beautiful photograph taken under difficult conditions, and it seems from a high pedestal! Compliments.

Thank you Rajat, I glad you like it. The 35mm lens does this and I am not particularly tall...:-).

Great work, very nice capture. The light available for this picture is perfectly used. The image is strong in all components - dof, composition, colour tonality, poses and expressions.
