A PRAIRIE SKY

I love the sense of space and openess that this image conveys. The proximity and sharpness of the fence puts the viewer in touch with the foreground and offers a perspective to view the small buildings in the distance. The clouds and sky look great, but there appears to be a graininess, and I wonder if you sharpen the complete image.  Most times I use selective sharpening in order that things clouds retain their softeness and avoid that grainy texture, but of course there could be another explanation?
