Niki,

 Your lighting has created a nice sculptural quality to the human form here.  I cannot help but wish to see the entire figure.  

  The picture brings up a conflict in my mind that I have never been able to resolve.  When I was young I read what was then an ancient volume on lighting.  It has been so long that I have forgotten the author's name.  He almost preached that artificial lighting should always imitate natural (sunlight) and cast shadows in one direction only.  He condemned lighting that has highlights on both the left and right side of the body.

  I also have lighted figures this way, but I always do so thinking I am violating some law of nature.  In answer to him, I often think that since Edison we have easily adapted to artificial light and can have highlights on both left and right. Yet it nags at me that this is, in some creative sense, against some principle of nature.

Their are some nude photos I have seen that really move me in pursuing this artistic medium. This is one of those that make me hunger to achieve this. Purity in the lighting, settle in form and pose!  Thank you for this!!
