Herman, another version you might try would crop most of the dark gray above the brightest cloud in the center, essentially making a square image (perhaps with a sliver off the bottom as well), with the shoreline running diagonally across more of the frame.  Such a crop would put the viewer's focus more directly on the main elements of the photograph, IMO.  I tried it simply by scrolling the image up on my screen, and I like the result.
