Some images you just seem to connect with and I tend to think its sometimes the ones where you have experienced the reality. This is one of them moments, I have touched that gate, felt that rough cast iron and even flicked the loose paint off with my finger nails. As you may have guessed I really like the sun lit textures agianst the blurred backdrop. I love the composition too, the steps up to the grand finale of the curl. You might consider cropping the far right post though?

Nice work Les!

Best Regards

This is exactly the kind of picture I love to take. And then my wife beats me senseless (verbally speaking!) for taking pointless photos. But she is wrong and you are right! I love it. What a top class image. Well see and beautifully rendered. I might be tempted to slightly overdo the sharpening and pop the colour a little just to emphasise the visual splendour of the rusting ironwork. But then I'm always one for adding too much salt to my food, so probably disregard my preference! Great pic though, thanks for posting!

Beautiful contrast of the soft upper  line vs. the strong geometry line of the lower part .I like the old texture, the light , and the 'cut' of composition, very nice result, les.
