on the moon

What a lovely photo, Art. There are all kinds of drama going on here, and I love it! To my own personal taste, however, I think I would prefer more rocks in the foreground and less black sky above, but that is only a matter of taste. It is great as it is.

An absolutely beautiful composition.  If it weren't for the water, I would have believed this was taken on the moon. :)

One suggestion is to crop or clone out what appears to be the edge of a distant island on the right.

A superb image regardless.

The cool tones and long exposure have a very dramatic effect on the sky and the soft swirling clouds contrast so well with the gritty rocks below. The lunar experience is quite well communicated with the presence of the stars above the cloud mass.
