North central Washington had about two weeks of sub-freezing weather in early January. I was outside every day, mostly combing the waterways in Chelan County, looking for interesting ice formations. I generally arrive before dawn when the light is best, and this morning was treated to a remarkable sunrise of clouds seemingly exploding out from the vanishing point. The Wenatchee River just south of Leavenworth, Washington State.

Soft serene and well detailed image throughout with that magical light that we all seek. Congratulations on a very fine capture, regards rek.

These vertical clouds are very nice and I don't see them too often, although I'm always on the hunt for them.  Nice capture.
