I love this shot Radu, it makes me shiver just looking at it! If I could make a suggestion, there are no real whites in this image. I don't really know what kind of a mood you had in your mind when you took this but I think if the image were lighter it would have more impact. What do you think?

Scott, thank you for your time here and opinion. This was done this morning, cloudy dark day just somewhere a light in the mist,I saw this and went quick was possible to caught this image in a closer area to me.So as you maybe observed just now in my photos snow isn't white, most of them done in cloudy days(that I like more than shiny ones).I avoid to have in my photos, if is cloudy, brilliant snow,I think is just a matter of taste and some idea in my had.
If all image would be lighter like in your version is something that is lost I feel, concerning that mood moment(image became harsh to me)but in a way I would like the idea to do snow lighter, whiter, and for this I did a selection only of snow in open area and kept rest of image so as it is.Result is interesting and closer to your taste I think.I appreciate to change opinions,my best regards.

Good job on that early morning shot.Snow can be and is difficult to seize as your eye sees it;here I like how you have captured that timid sun trying to break through.Good work!

Meilleures salutations-Laurent

I don't mind your EARLY MORNING SHOT Radu. It has been very dark and dull here and that is what the snow pretty well looks like at that time of the day. I always like your Winter shots where you live. The trees always look so beautiful!!! Well done.

Joscelyn,I appreciate your sincerely opinion,I wait for a sunny day to have a different vision for this kind od winter scene, last month was almost cloudy and dark weather.

Laurent,is true that that mist and sun with this light make me go quick as possible to do this shot, thank you.

Gail,I am glad you delight with my winter scenes, but winter in my area is so different now from my childhood, when was usually half meter of snow on the roofs all the time just to March, now can be positive temperature in Dec.,and few snows by night that melt next days, and there re no distinctive seasons, autumn and springtime are less contoured.Thank you for your time and opinion.

What strikes me with this photograph is the absolute stillness. It's as if the entire forest had been placed under some sort of enchantment where time has stopped and one hears only silence and silence beyond silence. I agree with you that Scott Murphy's revision sacrifices mood in return for enhanced brightness. But it is just the lack of brightness, the grey muffling shroud of winter, which sets the emotional tone that distinguished the picture. This is not just a snowy forest in general but a particular place on a particular day reflecting the particular conditions you have captured so well.

Ruud,thank you for your comment.

Jack, thank you for your time here, what you said here is what I feel that moment with this light, mist, snow on branches  that indeed created a particular mood.
