Only a few centimeters of snow but the high winds can turn driving

into a nightmare!Thank you for your comments on this shot-Laurent

I can't even imagine driving in conditions like this and as for actually walking along the road, forget about it! Osaka is hardly a tropical paradise but at its worst it's nothing like this. The picture conveys the full feeling of winter's fury and I'm just glad I'm on the other side of the world..

Thank you for commenting. This is common here and this year,we have a relatively low snowfall record as you can see by the bare asphalt and the deep ditches.Normally, the pavement would be snowpacked,at least partially and snow would be piled up on either side of the road creating a real whiteout as the blowing snow from that cross wind would arrive at eye level instead of ground level as here.Anyways,I can appreciate your preference for where you are as I have also spent many winters under warmer climates in my working days.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent

Laurent,  You have done an excellent job capturing such horrid weather and driving conditions.  I have increased the whites to enhance the "Whiteout" as you have aptly titled this image.  This image exemplifies the importance of using the histogram.  I moved the whites up to near the right edge, but not so far as to render any blowout. What do you think?  Perhaps how you like the image is a matter of personal judgment.  Larry

Thank you for looking at this one,for the kind comment and for taking time on it;I had tweaked it some but your touch made it better and did enhance the whiteout.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent
