Standing right next to you at the time, I shot this image of your bird!!! What do you think?

The curse with shooting birds is that there is always an element of sky in the image.... a distraction for many viewers.... so we, the photographer, need to film in a different way. Either position ourselves better for the capture, or frame the subject with minimal sky-background with the view to PP later.............

Your subject is still sitting plum in the middle of the frame.......... have a read of the "rule of thirds" not as a bible, but as a suggestion to better presentations.

Be a bit more aggressive or adventurous with your cropping/presentations.
