rarmstrong 0 Posted February 7, 2013 Radu,Thank you! The water color is real and is from the tannins in the tree leaves that line the river bank. This shot is from just above the falls...the 2nd largest waterfall east of the Mississippi River.Regards,Dick Link to comment
scott_murphy5 101 Posted February 7, 2013 The composition here is very good. I think it also works in grayscale too. The darkness of the river helps balance out the snow. I darkened the snow in the foreground just a little to bring out the texture a little more. What do you think? Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted February 7, 2013 Richard, nice to see your return to landscapes. Your landscapes were always excellent & this one is no exception .Like how the river's one side exits at the bottom left corner.I don't know why but the poor bent sapling adds a very nice touch to the image The white sky which is usually deadly in colour images fits in perfectly. All in all, a lovely image. rarmstrong 0 Posted February 7, 2013 Scott,I like it! I'll have to play with a B & W conversion to see how that goes, thank you!Ross,So good to hear from you! I've been thinking of you since I picked up my camera again after a break. My wife bought me a new computer for Christmas and I upgraded to Aperture 3, which is consuming hours of my time...a good thing:-)Thanks for your kind comments!Dick Link to comment
