I tried to compose this shot so the curves from the arches would line

up in the corners of the frame, with the oval in the center. Did this

work? Boring?

One question, who dusts and gets all the cobwebs ? Ok, the picture, well the crop works,, light is good, but not very original I think, still nice work ! *R*

I think this is very beautiful; it really grabbed me. However, a large part of it's strength lies in the symmetry, and I therefore find it a little disturbing that the viewer is off-center. I keep wanting to move to the right! The light and colors are gorgeous.

David, nice shot. I'm happy with the slightly off centre framing. Complete symmetry can be boring. I would have liked to see more detail though.

Beautiful picture, did you have a tripod with to keep it pretty steady? I have a very similar picture (right down to the sunbeam). The link for it is http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2555905 I like yours much better, but I was certainly struck by the similarities, I took it about three years ago when I was at St. Peter's. Awesome portfolio, keep up the good work!
