dkatz02 0 Posted December 29, 2003 I tried to compose this shot so the curves from the arches would line up in the corners of the frame, with the oval in the center. Did this work? Boring? Link to comment
w. roger keagle 0 Posted December 29, 2003 One question, who dusts and gets all the cobwebs ? Ok, the picture, well the crop works,, light is good, but not very original I think, still nice work ! *R* Link to comment
eleanor 1 Posted December 29, 2003 I think this is very beautiful; it really grabbed me. However, a large part of it's strength lies in the symmetry, and I therefore find it a little disturbing that the viewer is off-center. I keep wanting to move to the right! The light and colors are gorgeous. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted December 29, 2003 David, nice shot. I'm happy with the slightly off centre framing. Complete symmetry can be boring. I would have liked to see more detail though. Link to comment
zlm 0 Posted July 25, 2004 Beautiful picture, did you have a tripod with to keep it pretty steady? I have a very similar picture (right down to the sunbeam). The link for it is http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2555905 I like yours much better, but I was certainly struck by the similarities, I took it about three years ago when I was at St. Peter's. Awesome portfolio, keep up the good work! Link to comment
