Donna Stavis 0 Posted February 11, 2013 The tones are great. I feel sad seeing the ravages of time, perhaps no teeth, and wonder how he feels inside -- like a young man? Your portraits are captivating. The textures -- particularly of the hat and nice. Kind regards, Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 12, 2013 I think Donna has said it quite eloquently. Each face for me is a 'roadmap' of Life! Sincere regards, Gail Link to comment
AJHingel 127 Posted February 18, 2013 Sorry but the first, that caught my eye was the pun of the DSC on his bonnet imagining the camera of Mehmet pointing at him. Great !But, if I stayed on looking at this portrait is is surely because of the quality of the portrait, which, as I see it, first of all comes from this special look of his eyes. A mixture of amusement and sincerity of age. As a viewer you are immediately caught. A guy that clearly has much to tell, but offering only what the media permits, the visual effects of age on his wrinkled face and his white free-flowing hair.Beautiful black and white rendering and a very good choice of background in continuation with the tissues of the bonnet and the scarf. No ruptures, but a flow of shades and textures that provide an image of great harmony.Very well done, Mehmet. Link to comment
