With the use of a strong grad ND filter, it almost seems like two images, one of the sky (w/ B&W) and another of the ground (in color).  I think it's the lack of color in the sky that strikes me the most.  Still, this is a very difficult situation (looking into the sun), and I think you've controlled the light very well.  The starburst around the sun is a welcomed element.

This is indeed a striking shot. The subject is quite simple, an expansive crop field with a nice texture provided by the bladed leaves and a wide sky providing some textured clouds as well. A standard photo would have come out pretty perhaps. But you certainly caught it at the right moment of the day and made the most of your equipment to make it a very interesting and attractive one. Great use of the tobacco filter. I reckon a graduated ND would have not provided the required warmth to both darken the sky in an interesting manner, and at the same time highlighting the green palette of the field. Good composition bringing the foreground forward by likely tilting the camera slightly downwards?. Best regards, Alfredo Chirinos

I really like this image. It reminds me of my childhood. The colours are very natural and not overdone which compliments the sky very well. A wonderful shot, thank you for sharing this image with us.

Hanan, I applaud the the way you have dealt with a very tricky lighting situation. You have turned quite an ordinary scene into a beautiful photograph. Well done! Regards
