Hi,  I have to note that Death Valley is one of my favorite places to photograph.  The reason I chose this image to critique.

Great job.  I have shot this in color but did not think of converting to B&W.  good thinking.  It just seems a little oversharpened for my taste, but that's me.

The rock formations are fascinating and the textures are a delight making the foreground a great lead in to the distant mountains and swirling sky. I think it might be a tad over sharpened too, although it may just be the nature of the volcanic looking rock.  Great B & W tones and processing!
