Absolutely fascinating, if a little spooky looking.  How on earth did you do this?  It could be viewed many different ways as an abstract, but I see in this a bejeweled head of an Egyptian Pharaoh.  It looks to me like this must have taken a while......at any rate, it's really cool!

You're really channeling some of the darker internal gods. Not everyone can coax such a nice pose from these spirits. Beautiful work and I hope they appreciated your efforts.

I concur with so many of the comments of praise for this image, and I would extend it to most of your work. This is a very powerful creation, well chosen subject and effect, and finally, making it monochromatic. Superb work. Congratulations.

Thankyou Michael! Actually this image is inspired by the many wooden masks from islands in the Pacific. I find them fascinating. Your encouraging remarks are much appreciated.

Your very kind words of critique really brightened my day when I first saw them a few days ago. My apologies for not being able to reply sooner. One good thing, they took me to your Porfolio which I enjoyed very much, hope to visit again soon,

Kind regards, Gail

I've always been fascinated by primitive images/artifacts etc. Sometimes when I start creating with an image, I am surprised at the outcome, this is one. Many thanks Jack, appreciate your feedback and visit! If any 'dark spirits' come round my door though, they usually get a 'swift kick' to the pavement!!! ;-) cheers for now, Gail

Yes it did take some time. I find when working with layers, I experiment so much with blending modes that I get various images and finally settle on one - but I am only really limited by my Patience. Many thanks Christale for your very kind words of critique!!!
