Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 24, 2013 I am SO tired of winter. It almost dropped to thirty degrees thismorning down here in North Carolina. Comments welcome. --Lannie Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 25, 2013 I recognize this road. I think we got above 30 degrees today for the first time in weeks. The difference between day and night temperatures has been only about 3-4 degrees. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 26, 2013 My heart goes out to you, Lannie. I'm typing this while lying in my hammock and sipping a Pina Colada here in tropical Osaka. Your road in this picture is a real ghost highway; that little lighted rise at the end is just enough to launch the imagination. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 27, 2013 I didn't realize Osaka was tropical, Jack. Were they out of sake? --Lannie Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 28, 2013 I'm afraid that was a very thin slice of lampoonery (delicious with a plum sauce, I might add). There are few cities with more depressing weather. A few flakes of snow actually fell yesterday but didn't stick around. If we actually did have a decent snowfall we'd have something we could bitch about to relieve the winter blahs at least temporarily. As it was we were just left flapping our arms, chilled to the bone. And as for sake, that silent ninja assassin, I'll take a pinna colada from my Hawaii days anytime. Link to comment
jana 1 Posted January 28, 2013 Lannie, The image together with the title makes it happen. I feel the summer evening mood . Wonderful. The play with light and the leading lines are very subtle and magical. Jana Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 30, 2013 Jack, it still sounds like a great place to be. Maybe I can visit. . . during typhoon season. (I've been in three hurricanes. I should feel at home.) --Lannie Link to comment
