Winter Sunset

with Clear winter skies in January the Temperature was dipping to

nearly -20 degrees below zero, the sunset was Beautiful.

You have here a winning photograph. Powerful and full of color, the golden river is just magnificent, worthy of a gallery or a postcard. The stillness of the site is very well transmitted...surprising that water did not freeze with those below-zero temperatures. Well done.

Your photo has a simple but elegant feel. Love the way the water takes on the color of the setting (or maybe rising) sun. Very nice.

The golden light reflected in the creek really make the photograph, IMO.  I'm thinking it would be nice to also see this after the sun has set, providing the yellow color stays in the sky -- that would remove the intensity of the sun and perhaps provide an even more "soothing" composition.

It is a realy lovely winterscene you presents here. Great atmosphere and wonderful colours :)
