lintrathen 15 Posted January 25, 2013 A unique capture here..............Unsure of the true colouring, I had a play in PSE6 and ran this through the Auto adjust filter......... hope you don't mind? I find the adjusted colouring a little easier on the eye and it has brought out a touch more definition on the bird, which for me, looked a little soft.Just my thoughts...........Regards Link to comment
sranga 2,136 Posted January 25, 2013 Greg, GrayhamThanks a lot for your visit and comments.GrayhamIt was very close to sunset, so we can't say the camera AWB was off the mark. Improving the bird's definition wrt the cluttered bg is another question. I wished for more motion blur in the wings, but all my captures were at the tail end of its shake-up routine. Link to comment
lintrathen 15 Posted January 26, 2013 Thanks for your responding comments.......... unfortunately you have not loaded up any exif data so I cannot see how this image was taken......The auto adjust I used was the AWB correction, removing the orange caste shown on my monitor...............I appreciate that you were trying to capture the "sand-shaking" of the bird and I could have accepted the softness in the bird had the surrounding area been in focus as well..... I possibly just tried to salvage the image as I saw it.Best regards Link to comment

sranga 2,136 Posted January 26, 2013 GrayhamI did miss out on the EXIF data, apparently in my last 2 uploads. I have added it to this image since. Usually it gets added automatically, but sometimes gets skipped. Have to figure out why. Thanks a lot for your painstaking efforts. Link to comment
sranga 2,136 Posted January 26, 2013 GrayhamI found the definition of the leaves near the swallow's foot amazing in your pic.So without changing the white balance in GIMP, I tried adjusting levels/curves a bit more to bring out the leaves. Link to comment
