Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 21, 2013 The lurid colors, the telephone pole silhouetted against the flames and the pole at the left leaning into the frame catch the drama of the moment. It's not pretty but it's real and catches the drama of the moment; therein lies its power. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 21, 2013 Jack, the newspapers would not print this kind of photo, but I have used it to give some kind of emotive expression of what I saw. By the way, the "pole" on the left is a ladder--this one unlighted. It occurs to be that some of them are perhaps now lighted so that another hook and ladder company will not swing its ladder into one's own. I'm speculating, of course. --Lannie Link to comment

mike_palermiti 0 Posted February 25, 2013 Hi Lannie,Unfortunately, documentaries like this appear often in our lives. It is sad for all the town's people that knew and visited the mill.Fire consumes our efforts too fast, and this is one of the downsides of life's experiences.Best Regards my friend, Mike Link to comment
