G&V, this is my view from home, so my camera is always there  ;-)   Yes, I am so fortunate and I know it!

The night lights are the Kahului airport and harbor area...and maybe Costco.

Beautiful flowers, wonderful weather, incredible sunsets - all outside your own window - PLUS  a Costco! life couldn't be better.

Wow one hell of a sunset could be a fiery hell itself. Can't anything more that has not already been said. Best wishes William

Dynamic and beautiful, shows how amazing nature is when she paints her scenes.  I am a cloud lover and these clouds and colors had to be a wonder to see and photograph. So amazing and beautiful!   Best regards,   Sherry

Like a painters mixing board the colours are vivid and liquid as they run into each other. The shadow and lights of the city underneath the cloud are mesmerising, and it kind of makes us humans insignificant in the order of things.

Compliments & Best Regards

Thanks for all the comments.  Mike said it looked as though the volcano erupted.    Well, it did erupt on the island of Hawaii, and has been for years. At times it belches particulate matter into the air, and it often makes for brilliant colors like these.  Breathing the "Vog" is another matter ;-)

Amazing sky! I imagine it is difficult breathing the 'Vog' as you say!!! Does the air cause a lot of 'clean up' around your properties (ie restaurant windows etc.) after eruptions like these?

Gail, the vog is not usually a problem here.  No cleanup (like your snow)  but breathing it for any period of time is unpleasant.  Luckily it only occurs when the wind blows from the South, and it's diluted.   Mostly we have winds from the Northeast, the trade winds.   Some properties downwind from the volcano suffer greatly.  Naturally occurring "acid rain"  poisons soil and pollutes catchment water.  Of course, property downhill is paved over by flowing lava.  The opportunity to photograph flowing lava has caught everyone's attention, and there is a lot of great art published by these risk takers.  Aloha!

I think this is the most amazing sky I've ever seen!  As far as I'm concerned seeing one sunset like this would be worth the minor inconvenience of poor air quality for a short time.  Really amazing!
