Did you caught the bird for the sake of just photography? If so, with due respect I censure this type of act. This can cause harm to this bird. By viewing this photo other people also may try to capture this type of photograph and harm innocent life... Sorry, if I hurt you.

Just to clarify.....this bird was stuck in my house and we rescued it. It would have died had we not saved its life and let it free. i took the quick oppoertunity to capture this macro. it went free and happily flew off.....it would have died had I not rescued it.

Nicola, I think Parthasarathi's comment was justified as you didn't mention in your description that the bird had been caught inside of the house.  Really, you never know what people will do for a photograph.  As it turns out, yours was a good story.

fair enuff !! x I love the picture because you can see my camer reflection in its eye.....it was fine and happy and it lived thanks to the rescue op !
