Excellent POV and detail Richard. I find it amazing also that event he material the Butterfly is resting on has such fine fibres. If we kneew what it actually was it would be hard to believe for some! I saw an Imax original program last week called BUGS !! and the lifecycle of this Butterfly was highlighted. I wish I could remember the name of the Butterfly. It was in the rainforest of Borneo. I think this Butterfly only lives for about 20 some odd days. Great Macro Richard!

Thank you, Gail!  The material is my wife's jeans...her knee.  We were sitting on our deck and the butterfly just landed, first on her shoe, then her knee.

I had my micro nikkor 105 mm on the camera and just kept shooting as this calm butterfly posed for me.
