DGorinstein 20 Posted January 11, 2013 Excellent image, simple and powerful. Great tonality, lighting and composition. Hard to imagine what place this is, but the barren walls, all stillness against the movement of the figure is just great. Well done.DG Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 11, 2013 As Daniel noted, superb tones and the simple shapes are quite elegant. The single, sharp figure is an exclamation point that grabs the eye and won't let go... Excellent... Mike Link to comment

andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted January 11, 2013 very clean, complete tones, and the square format is very good. not static at all, becouse the position of the girl suggest that is going out from the hall (and from the photo). bravo, an admirable photo Link to comment
overdiep 0 Posted January 11, 2013 Very strong image. Excellent position of the girl. Beautiful B/W tones. Best regards, Marco Link to comment

jean_marc_vitoux1 0 Posted January 11, 2013 Very pleasing in its simplicity. My criticism to you (and most submitters as a matter of fact) is the need you felt to give the photo a title. Let your images speak for themselves. I had a quick peak at your portfolio. Very impressive, Sir. Link to comment
ajay_ramakrishnan 0 Posted January 12, 2013 And, yes, I agree with Jean-Marc. Short and crisp titles add to the appeal! Link to comment
margatt 9 Posted January 13, 2013 Superb! I love the minimalist quality of this image... not to mention the light and tones. Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted January 13, 2013 Hi Volker I really like that soft sheen of light, the silhouetted figure and consequential shadow, the space devoid of any other artifacts is like a portal to another dimension. A most captivating image! As for titles, I'm all in favour of them! Firstly the viewer does not have to read them and therefore choose not to be influenced if they don't want to. Secondly a title can indicate a path or route to the photographers intentions . And thirdly in my case I choose to give images titles as apposed to a series of meaningless numbers, as it makes the image easier to remember and therefore catalague and access.Sincere Compliments!
