really like the effort you are putting into these new images.  the top half of this image is just terrific,  form shadows, light all exquisite, and all complementing one another  bottom half to me anyway appears flat in comparison. think if this were mine would try a square crop just above her belly button just to see what it looks like.  very nice work mark,  top shelf image!

if you could teach someone nude photography this would be the finest example. when we have to question if a nude photograph is art than it isnt.. it is any thing but. this would also be amazing if it were cropped just below her belly button. i could see this up on a wall somewhere Mark,,, and btw her breast are divine.

seem to always return to the good ones. the top half of this image is just soooo good! stephanie has already pointed out the perfection in the breasts,  for me it would be her neck chin and face,  but on saying that the whole top half is just marvelous. really hope you play with this image a bit and post your results.  top shelf work mr.harris!

Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. I tend to compose in the viewfinder and crop only to eliminate things I can't when shooting, like lights and, in this photograph, an annoying white triangle in the upper-left corner. I looked at the image cropped tighter. To me it feels unbalanced that way. I'll probably print the image both ways and then can look at them together for an extended time.

I am normally uncomfortable with discussions of models' anatomical features. In this case the comments about her breasts are, I believe, in context of the composition of the image so can accept them. Part of the reason I liked the result of this photograph is how her curves are seen.

Straight forward, classic, timeless and elegant shot with a modern twist.  I like how you've kept the model at the edge in a less than conventional pose.  Delicious sense of form and tension in the taut muscles.

Mark, this one is excellent! Love the light and pose.  A tad distracting are the thin dark[er] lines on the backdrop - I'd prefer them cloned out or have more pronounced.

Lovely use of light and darkness to add even more of an atmosphere to a scene that would normally be full of atmosphere.

Hi Mark, Nothing more to say about this other than it is just a great picture. No analysis required. Richard

For the additional comments I again thank you all for taking the time to post these. This was a fascinating session and resulted in some images I very much like, this included.

On the background, this studio, which I rent as a member, had a white cloth background which I tried to light as flat as possible. We have now put up a system of seamless paper, including white, which will allow me to make work like this without the shadow issue. I'm using it later this week for the first time and will certainly post the results.

absolutely mind-blowing subtle stream of light outlines a heavenly pose, like she's looking out a window in a surreal way. your style continues to leave me agape, Mark. in my faves.... ;-}dp

This is wonderful in so many ways.  It is sensual, artistic and a bit of abstract all rolled into a lovely image.  Great Great Great!
