great. is more portrait that many portraits.... there is the expression, the concentration, the world around gently suggested. and a nice bw. 

sorry I have not visited for awhile Bob, this is an excellent capture, beautiful 'light'.

But not the bulbous shape in the foreground. Your model is expoed perfectly - great use of light and shadow. The bokeh is simply wonderful (though just a tiny but splodgy and therefore distracting in the upper left corner -a little more work required with the cloning brush methinks!) but the image is spoiled by this big round blob in the foreground. I could understand if it was  a "snap" that you just had to take as you caught it, but this is obviously a posed, lit shot. So why the big blob in the foreground? Without it this could be a world class image. Can you do it again?
