hi Ross ! Excellent composition, well seen, well done. I particularly like the sharpness and contrast.

Color photograph in the lower half, "B&W" in the upper half.  I like the composition -- it's a great shot of the trees.

Ross,  How interesting, mixing color and B&W.  Excellent composition and reflections.  The warm color of the water balances the cold well.  Best to you. Larry

Hi Larry- Thanks for visiting & your comments. Actually I did not mix anything, the image is as it was, never even thought about it until Stephen noticed it, he does not miss much. Best Regards -Ross

Hi Ross

This is definately my type of image. I love the reflections and movement in the water as the thawing ice and snow drips relentlessly into it. The misty background beyond just adds more charisma and appeal.

Excellent work Ross! one of your best!

Best Regards

Hi Ross,

This is the best photo I've seen in months and went straight to my favorites folder.  There is so much going on here in a setting that conveys reserve.  The mottling of the colors in the foreground stands out against the ghostly white snow and fog in the background.  I was absolutely blown away by this photo that is really everything a nature or landscape photo should be.  Bravo!

Hi Alf- Nice to hear from you & always appreciate your comments. Have just made a New Years resolution, venture out only in inclement weather, it seems to be much easier to get good catches during this type of weaher & beside you miss the crowds.Best Regards-Ross.
