Nicely rendered, lit and composed.... Again, this production looks like an interesting and moving one. No wonder that at 1/30 sec. there seems be a bit of motion blur present, which may be a tad bothersome when seen enlarged perhaps...(?)  Yet, at the same time this adds something ephemeral as well...

I have not explained the begining very well.. it is a small theater, and it was completely dark, the kiss is a screen photo that was slowly  lighted. So it is a  photo of a photo....the real start is the couple having coffee together...and playing with each other, but the scene is unusual as the whole play is, and very hard to express it with  some  photos . I will upload the coffee  scene but the play is impossible to show as they are 'flying' on their chairs... a very unusual play.... ;-))

A Happy and  healthy  new year, Marjolein, to you and your charming family!

Happy New Year!  Let's start the year with another honest critique.  A good theater shot with dramatic lighting though technically a tad soft, likely due to camera movement.  1\30 sec @ f4 and ISO 1600 according to your details.  My bet is that with your full frame camera that the slight loss in image quality from ISO 3200 (perhaps even 6400) would be more than offset by the corresponding higher shutter speed permitted. (1\60 or 1\125)  Especially with vibration reduction added to the equation.  I've assumed that f4 was your maximum aperture though if you had f2.8 available that would also go a long way to eliminating camera movement.  But you are the photographer on the set so I imagine a lot of what I've said has already crossed your mind.  Best for 2013, LM.

It is a pleasure to read you. I dont know  if you ever shote a dance  and /or a visual  theater( probably a  positive answer...)? it is a very tricky photography  .The theater is dark, the stage is usually very lighted and every thing  is very fast changing , so it is very hard to change parameters  in between...I have with me always a  small flashlight.. but in this theater which  is very small it is impossible.

(in a bigger theater I can open the flashlight  and  change the parametrs without disturbing the audience,.)

SoI try to take the measures in the begining,  the F4 is my lowest apperture with my 70-200 lense .

(BTW,I understand that you have refered to the  1st one, which at least on  my screen does not looks soft ..)

In any event ,thanks for your honest detailed critique. It is always helpful!

My best wishes again  for a good and happy new year.
